Andriy Kovalyov, a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.
On the directions of Novodanilovka – Robotino and Malaya Tokmachka – Novofedorovka, they had partial success, they are fixed on the achieved levels, – the speaker said.
The defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Limansky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions.
Particularly heavy fighting continues:
- in the Limansky direction in the area of the settlement of Belogorovka, Luhansk region;
- in the Avdeevka direction in the areas of the settlements of Severnoe and Avdeevka of the Donetsk region;
- in the Maryinsk direction in the areas of the settlements of Maryinka and Pobeda, Donetsk region.
The enemy is concentrating efforts in four directions, 30 combat clashes occurred per day, the General Staff reported in the morning report from the front on June 23.
During the day, missile and artillery units hit a command post, four areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment, two ammunition trains, a composition of fuels and lubricants, 23 artillery units in firing positions, two electronic warfare equipment and two enemy communication centers.
On the morning of June 23, in the Donetsk region, our defenders destroyed a Russian attack helicopter Ka-52 Alligator. This is the sixth in the last eight days.
