Earlier it was reported that two unknown countries, one of which is European, with the support of the United States, agree to buy from Israel more than 200 Merkava II and III tanks stored in warehouses.
Merkava are distinguished by their survivability and reliable crew protection.
The main feature of the Merkava is its versatility: in the stern of the armored vehicle there is a compartment for transporting troops, wounded or additional ammunition. Therefore, this machine can be used not only as a tank, but also as an armored personnel carrier.
The Merkava is the main battle tank of the Israeli army and has been in production since 1979.
