Zelensky said that Russia is again trying to destroy evidence and traces of its crimes in the occupied territory.
In the occupied part of the Kherson region, the Russian occupiers formed special groups to remove and, apparently, hide the bodies of people who died as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. This was said by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video message on Thursday, June 22.
“Of course, we also have information about what is happening in the occupied part of the Kherson region. Even the word “catastrophe” is not enough for it. The evil of Russia has formed special groups there to remove and , obviously, hide the bodies of dead people,” Zelensky said.
According to him, this is not the first time that Russia has done this – it is trying to destroy evidence and traces of its crimes in the occupied territory.
“They did it in Mariupol and other places. But this is a fact that cannot be hidden. And I thank everyone who helps our intelligence, our special services to get the necessary information,” Zelensky stressed.
It will be remembered that on the night of Wednesday, June 6, the invaders blew up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. In the Kherson region, some settlements were completely or partially flooded.
Earlier it was reported that the occupied Oleshki was flooded by 90%, the occupiers forbade evacuation.
