The indicator has grown significantly compared to 2011, when the share of those who supported the defense of the Motherland was 40%.
In May of this year, 67% of Ukrainians expressed their readiness to defend their Motherland. This was announced on June 21 by the agency Interfax-Ukraine in reference to the results of a survey by the Razumkov Center.
It was noted that in 2011 this figure was 40%, and in 2020 – 57%.
“The readiness to defend the country was expressed by the majority of residents of all regions: 61% in the East, 67% in the Central region, 68% in the West and 71% in the South of the country, 74% among men. and 60.5% among women, from 68% to 75% in age groups from 18 to 59 years old, 51% among those 60 years old and above,” the Center said in a press release.
It was noted that the survey was conducted from May 23 to May 31 as part of the MATRA Program project, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine. 2020 respondents aged 18 years and older were surveyed, the theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
Earlier it was reported that 69% of Ukrainians want to change the Verkhovna Rada after the victory.
