Law enforcement officers detained a man who raped and beat a woman for two days, and also tried to cut her throat. This was reported by the police of the Kyiv region.
The suspect is a local resident previously convicted of a serious crime, who worked as a security guard.
It was noted that the man met the victim in one of the houses in Bila Tserkva and invited her to work with him. In the security room, he threatened the woman with death if she refused to have sex, and raped her.
According to Andriy Nebytov, the Kyiv regional police chief, the victim asked to be released, but the attacker, fearing exposure, stabbed him in the stomach, cut his throat and beat him on the head and body.
The injured woman was found on the road by the police.
The man was imprisoned, he is in a temporary detention center. He was informed of the suspicion of rape, unlawful imprisonment and infliction of grievous bodily harm. The defendant faces up to 10 years in prison.
