A series of explosions took place in the city of Valuiki, Belgorod region, Russia on Monday, June 19.

As a result of the explosions, houses, cars and the roadway were damaged. The explosions were so powerful that some cars were overturned by the blast wave or thrown onto other cars. Black smoke rises from the city. The Russian Telegram channel Baza writes about this.
Locals report alleged shelling. The Russian authorities have not yet commented on these events.
The city of Valuyki is located in the south of the Belgorod region, 15 km from the border with Ukraine. 2021 data show that 33 thousand people live in the city.
Recall that on June 5 in the Belgorod region of Russia there was a fire at an energy facility. Local authorities said the preliminary cause of the fire was a dropped explosive device from a drone.
