This was announced today, on June 18, in her Telegram channel by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk OVA Svetlana Onischuk.
It is noted that as of this morning the situation is as follows:
- in the Verkhovinsky district, precipitation has weakened, but the water level in the Black Cheremosh River is still high. In the Beloberezskaya community, travel to the villages of Proboinovka and Competent is complicated. Work is underway to renew the passage to the village of Yavirnik and the boundary pledge of Shibena;
- in the evening of June 17, in the Nadvirnyansky district, due to the rapid rise in the water level in mountain streams, transport links to the village of Voronenko of the Polyanitsky community from Vorokhta were damaged. Up to 400 people live there. During the night, road services carried out restoration work on the site, ensuring the passage of vehicles;
- in the Ivano-Frankivsk region on the night of June 17 in the village of Krichka, Solotvyno community, a section of the road on Ivana Franko Street was damaged, due to which there was no access to five residential buildings. After the water level drops, it is planned to clean up the bed of the local reservoir.
According to the services, during the day on June 18-19, water levels are expected to rise by 0.3-1 m on the rivers of the region. In the Prut and Dniester basins, especially on mountain tributaries – by 0.5-1.5 m, notes Onischuk. — ❗️ In places, the formation of a significant slope runoff is possible, in mountainous areas there is a threat of local mudflows.
Overcoming the consequences of the disaster continues, work is underway on damaged sections of roads.
The State Emergency Service urges tourists to refrain from hiking in the mountains.
As of 12 o’clock. in the rivers of the region there is a slight decrease in the water level. But during the day significant rains are expected with breaks. It is possible to resume the rise in water levels within the channels, the department notes.
