Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believe that the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus is part of Russia’s long-standing effort to strengthen de facto military control over Belarus.

On June 16, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced that Russia had sent the first tactical nuclear warheads to Belarus.

According to him, by the end of 2023, the Russian Armed Forces will deploy the full amount of planned supplies of tactical nuclear warheads to Belarus.

It should be recalled that Russia has provided Belarus with missiles and nuclear bombs.
