Cash payments are provided to residents of the Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated UAH 564 million 875 thousand to help victims of flooding. A one-time allowance for one person is provided in the amount of UAH 5,000. Payments will be organized by the Kherson and Nikolaev regional military administrations. On June 16, the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories reported this on Telegram.
It is also noted that, according to a general agreement with partners of Ukraine, all victims will be paid additional financial assistance from the UN International Organization for Migration. This assistance is provided in the amount of UAH 6,600. per person.
Recall that on June 6, Russian invaders blew up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, due to which 80 settlements were flooded. The water rose in some places up to 5m.
Greenpeace said that due to the explosion of a hydroelectric power plant, 32 objects with chemicals, oil and gasoline were flooded – these are oil refineries, gas stations, thermal power plants and various warehouses.
