In the Kherson region, after the explosion of a hydroelectric power station, the positions of the Russians were flooded, and their command did nothing to evacuate. Then the SSO fighters saw five invaders who were up to their necks in the water. The Ukrainian military decided to capture these soldiers. This was reported by the command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
After the commandos pulled the invaders out and loaded them into boats, the Russian army opened fire on them from other positions. The enemy did not interfere with the fact that their comrades in arms were there. However, despite the shelling of the prisoners, they were brought alive to the coast. The MTR soldiers were not injured during the mission.
Later it turned out that the captives were soldiers from the Storm Z unit.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense stated that the Russian Federation blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in order to divert part of the forces and resources of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy wanted Ukraine not only to deploy units to eliminate the man-made disaster, but also planned to make it impossible to liberate the occupied territories on the left bank of the Kherson region.
