Malyar noted that the offensive of the Ukrainian forces continues in several directions, but also the offensive of the Russians in several directions.
Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that in the past week and two days, the current advance of Russian troops at the front was not recorded. He said this on the air of a national telethon.
“For example, the direction of Bakhmut, we are trying to advance there, and in one place – the enemy. That is, we are advancing, the enemy is not advancing, because the Ukrainian troops do not give such an opportunity,” she said.
According to Malyar, the offensive of the Ukrainian forces continues in several directions, as well as the offensive of the Russians in several directions.
“That is, at the moment we are both on the offensive and defensive, only in different directions. The enemy is increasing the number of charges and imposing more artillery, mortars, and air strikes, thus trying to stop our offensive,” said of the deputy minister.
Malyar added that in the south, Ukrainian forces are facing constant mining fields, making it very difficult to advance.
“It may be slow if you look at the numbers, but this progress is sure,” he said.
It will be remembered, according to the General Staff, heavy fighting continued in the east and south of Ukraine today. 39 combat clashes have taken place.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in two directions. The troops were operating in the face of overwhelming Russian combat, aviation and artillery superiority.
