More than 400 children will undergo a recovery program in one of the best health centers in the Carpathians.
The humanitarian initiative of the Metinvest group, Save Lives, has introduced a new program for the psychological rehabilitation of children affected by war – Strong Generation Camp – Future. About 9 million hryvnias will be allocated for the restoration of children, the press service of the group reported on Wednesday, June 14.
It is known that more than 400 children will undergo a rehabilitation program in one of the best health centers in the Carpathians. Participants in the program are the children of Metinvest employees mobilized in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, internally displaced employees from all Ukrainian enterprises of the company, as well as children who lost loved ones in war
At the start of the program this summer, three races lasting two weeks each are planned. The first race will start at the end of June. A health program awaits children, as well as individual and group work with psychologists, training and art therapy. The entertainment part contains games, adventures, master classes, excursions to lakes, mountains and waterfalls, sports games and much more.
Throughout the program, child psychologists will be consulted and accompanied by experts from the Association of Psychologists of Ukraine.
Tatyana Petruk, Director for Sustainable Development and Staff Interaction of Metinvest Group, said that the humanitarian initiative Save Lives uses various methods to restore the mental health of Ukrainians traumatized by the war.
“The initiative, together with the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, is creating a Psychological Rehabilitation and Support Center for affected civilians. Our new program aims at psychological support for children who, as a result of the war, have lost their parents, left their homes or experienced other traumatic events. I hope that the strength of the Ukrainian Carpathians and the care of specialists will help children cope with injuries and regain the ability to enjoy life, “said Petruk said.
Earlier it became known that in total Metinvest sent 37 billion Hryvnia to help Ukraine since the beginning of the war. The humanitarian project of the company Save Lives has helped almost 500,000 Ukrainians in 70 territorial communities.
It was also reported that Metinvest developed a concept for the rapid recovery of Ukraine. It was called Steel Dream.
