Medic Day in Ukraine will now be celebrated on July 27. The corresponding decree was signed on June 13 by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Considering the importance of the healthcare sector and the contribution of its workers to ensuring the vital interests of a person, society and the state, testifying to the dedication of medical workers to the provision of medical care, maintaining health and saving human lives, in support of the initiative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, I decide: to establish a professional holiday for workers in Ukraine healthcare sector – the Day of Medical Workers, which is celebrated annually on July 27, the decree says.
Until now, Medical Worker’s Day has been celebrated on the third Sunday of June.
