Last week, due to racist shelling, damage occurred to networks in Kyiv, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa and Kyiv regions.
During the week from June 5 to June 11, DTEK Grid’s repair and restoration teams restored electricity supply to 54,000 households in 66 settlements of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Kiev and Kiev regions, which left without electricity due to Russia’s shelling. This was reported by the press service of DTEK.
“Last week, due to the Russian attack, damage to networks occurred in the regions of Kiev, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa and Kiev. In particular, power engineers restored electricity to 100 houses of residents of the Kiev region and 20 houses of the residents of Kiev after a night attack on June 6. In addition, electrical engineers resumed the supply of electricity for 85 families in the Odessa region, which had already been left no electricity due to shelling on June 10,” the report said.
According to DTEK, the situation in the regions of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk remains “stably difficult”: for a week, electrical engineers restored energy supplies to about 50 thousand households in Donbass and 4.3 thousand in the Dnipropetrovsk region .
“The main task of our specialists is to supply the Ukrainians with light as much as possible in conditions of increased risks. From the beginning of a full-scale war, we restored light to 7.9 million families in Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Donetsk region and the city of Kiev. In some settlements near the war zone, we returned the light dozens of times,” said Alexander Fomenko, General Director of DTEK Grids.
It was previously reported that in May DTEK power engineers restored electricity supply to 400,000 consumers.
