Corriere della Sera recalls that in February of this year, Berlusconi made a scandalous statement: “If Zelensky had stopped“ attacking ”two regions in the Donbas, the Russian attack on Ukraine would not have happened.”
On Friday, June 9, Berlusconi was hospitalized. He arrived at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan by himself, was in a regular (not intensive care) ward. Doctors argued that the hospitalization was not associated with a critical situation.
On May 19, he was discharged from the same hospital after a 45-day hospital stay. Berlusconi was reported to be suffering from chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (“blood cancer”).
Don Silvio died on the day of Russia, which he loved and long supported Putin’s policies.
He also said that if he were the prime minister today, he would not meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In September 2015, Berlusconi visited the annexed Crimea, after which the Security Service of Ukraine banned him from entering Ukraine for three years.
