As part of the defense operation, the joint actions of a mechanized unit and a combined unit of the Zaporozhye separate territorial defense brigade liberated the village of Novodarovka from the invaders. Numerous attempts by the enemy to return the settlement under control, which lasted several days, were unsuccessful. The brigade’s units continue to build on success, the report said.
Novodarovka is a village in the Malinovskaya rural community of the Pologovsky district of the Zaporozhye region, near the administrative border with the Donetsk region. The population of the village before the war was 51 people.
In March 2022, the village was occupied by Muscovites.
Recall that during June 11 and 12, the Ukrainian military announced the de-occupation of four villages in the Volnovakha region of Donetsk region. On June 11, 2023, during the Ukrainian counter-offensive in the Taurida direction, Russian troops blew up a dam near the village, which led to flooding along the banks of the Mokri Yala River.
