The Russians do not conduct evacuation from flooded territories and interfere with the rescue operations of the Ukrainian side.
In the Kherson region, the water is gradually decreasing, its level has reached 3.29 cm. People are being evacuated from the disaster zone, but the situation on the left bank remains critical due to the actions of the invaders, said on June 12 the head of the military administration of the region, Alexander Prokudin.
He noted that compared to yesterday evening, the water has fallen by 64 cm.
46 settlements remain flooded: 32 on the right bank and 14 in the temporarily occupied territory. 2743 people were rescued on the right bank, including 228 children and 77 people with limited mobility.
“On the left bank, the situation remains critical. The Russians are blocking the evacuation, do not do it themselves and are preventing us from saving people by firing at civilians in the back. However, the rescue operation of our forces on the left bank continues. 112 people have already been pulled out,” the head of the UVA stressed.
Earlier it was reported that the Kakhovka reservoir has lost more than 72% of its water. Water is gradually coming to the Nikolaev area.
Recall that on the night of June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which caused large-scale flooding in the territories of the Kherson region and caused great environmental, economic and humanitarian damage to Ukraine.
