Later, the Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of the village of Makarovka in the Donetsk region. Also, the General Staff said that the other day, soldiers of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Gandzyuk captured an enemy position in the Avdeevsky direction. At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers moved the front line.
Ukraine returned 95 prisoners of war, including fighters from Mariupol, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Snake Island, Bakhmut, as well as the defenders of Azovstal. Among them were 93 privates and sergeants and two officers. Many freed defenders of Ukraine were wounded in captivity. The Russian army attacked a boat with civilians evacuated from the left bank in the Kherson region. As a result of the shooting, 13 people were injured, including two law enforcement officers.
