Russia has begun illegally dumping Ukrainian Navy ships seized in Sevastopol and Lake Donuzlav, which after 2014 is on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
It was noted that the base processing ship in Inkerman sent:
-
corvettes Lutsk and Khmelnytsky;
-
sea minesweepers Cherkassy and Chernihiv;
-
missile boat of the Dnieper region;
-
artillery boat Kherson.
Earlier this week, Russian newspaper Izvestia reported the disposal of Ukrainian warships in Crimea, citing sources. Russian Telegram channels also report on the upcoming examination of the Kalanchak floating crane of the Ukrainian Navy in the South Bay of Sevastopol.
In total, 19 former ships, boats and ships of the Ukrainian Navy remained in Crimea at the beginning of 2022, the fate of another 11 units is unknown.
The Russian Black Sea Fleet now uses the large landing ship Konstantin Olshansky and the tugboat Kremenets, which the Ukrainian military acquired in 2014.
It will be recalled that on May 24, the Russian reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs was attacked by sea drones 74 kilometers north of the Bosphorus. Russia blamed Ukraine for this.
