Ukraine and Germany signed the first agreement on strategic partnership within the framework of the humanitarian project “Save Life”, created by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation together with local authorities of Ukraine.
Thus, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ukrainian fund Do it together with Agritrade Ukraine, which acts as the Coordinating Center of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
The purpose of the agreement is to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine and help Ukrainians affected by the Russian aggression.
Germany has previously supplied humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but after the signing of the agreement, its volume will increase. As part of the agreement, 200 tons of benefits are planned to be received each month, thanks to which approximately 30,000 children, women and the elderly will be able to live better and receive basic necessities.
“We have been supporting Ukraine with food products for almost three months. It is important for us that those in need receive food and water in a timely manner. Therefore, we signed this memorandum with the Save a Life project. , because it showed its professionalism and well -established logistics from donor to recipient.In Germany, we have more than 50 companies providing food products for Ukraine.We really hope that the war will end, but for now we will do our best to help people, ”said Andre Pilling, chairman of the board of the coordination center at BMEL.
The shipment will be generated in Poland at the hubs of Agritrade Ukraine and delivered to Ukraine through the Save a Life project. Assistance will be provided to regions affected by the aggression of the Russian Federation, specifically in the Donetsk region. Residents of cities and internally displaced people will receive food and basic necessities.
The head of the project “Save Life” Oleksandr Vishnyakov reported that approximately 55,000 Ukrainians have already received assistance since the beginning of the war.
“Unfortunately, Russia’s aggression has not subsided, so more people need help than three months ago. Together with partners like Agritrade Ukraine, we will be able to support the most vulnerable miles of the population,” he said. he said and thanked the German side for joining the project.

Recall that the Save a Life project was created at the end of March by Metinvest and DTEK together with the Akhmetov Foundation, the Office of the President and the authorities of six cities.
