It is indicated that over the past few days, the Nikolaev urban territorial community of the Donetsk region, where the Slavyanskaya TPP is located, continues to be under rocket and artillery shelling from Russian invaders. Throughout the active phase of the war, hero power plant personnel ensured the operation of construction equipment and the supply of power to the energy system of Ukraine.
“In order to save the life and health of the station personnel, as well as due to the need to evacuate the workers and their families, PJSC Donbasenergo decided to stop the operation of Slavyanskaya TPP on May 27,” the message said.
Slavyanska TPP is located in the city of Nikolaevka near Slavyansk, Donetsk region. Installed capacity – 880 MW.
Recall that on May 11, Russian troops fired missiles at Slavyansk. No one was hurt, but the ammonium nitrate warehouse was damaged. Local residents were asked to limit their exposure to the open air.
