In the Kherson region, due to the emergency situation as a result of the explosion of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, a ban was imposed on the use of water from the waters of the Dnieper River. This was announced on Saturday, June 10, by the head of Kherson GVA Roman Mrochko on Telegram.

He noted that a significant number of households, sewage facilities, territories of settlements of the Kherson community were flooded.

“As a result, the water has a high level of pollution. In the territory of Kherson TRP, there is a ban on bathing, watering animals, taking water, catching fish in the waters of the Dnieper and other bodies of water, in the place. of flooding in settlements of Kherson TRP,” said Mrochko.

Recall that the Kherson OVA reported that the water in Kherson is suitable for consumption. It comes from artesian wells, which have nothing to do with the Dnieper water.
