He added that he would talk to Lukashenka “face to face” about security issues.
“In general, the situation is stable, I would say good. We are confidently dealing with this area,” the Kremlin leader said.
In March, Putin announced an agreement with Lukashenka on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. Minsk has already received the Iskander missile system, which can be a carrier of tactical nuclear weapons. Some Belarusian aircraft have also been converted for possible use with nuclear weapons.
