Pardoned by Lukashenka, Russian citizen Sofia Sapega was transferred on June 7 from the penal colony in Gomel to the delegation of Primorsky Krai.
Lukashenka pardons Russian Sofia Sapega, who is serving a 6-year sentence for managing an opposition TG channel Black Book of Belarus. This was reported by the Belarusian state edition Belta.
Sapega was reportedly pardoned on June 6, and on June 7 he was handed over to the delegation of the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation.
“Russian citizen Sofia Sapega, pardoned by Alexander Lukashenko, was transferred on June 7 from the penal colony in Gomel to the delegation of the Primorsky Territory, headed by Governor Oleg Kozhemyako,” the newspaper wrote.
Kozhemyako said that the pardon decree was signed at the request of the Russian side.
Sapieha thanked the Belarusian dictator for the “second chance” he received and said his immediate plan was to “make up.”
It will be recalled that the girl was detained two years ago. A few days after the arrest, the security forces of Belarus published a video with Sofia Sapega. The girl on camera “confessed” to running a Telegram channel that published personal data of Belarusian security forces who beat protesters. The Sapieha family reportedly received a letter from him from SIZO.
