Customs officers found three gold bars in a chocolate wrapper Alenka. They and two diamonds were tried to be removed by a Russian woman flying on a Grozny-Istanbul flight. This was reported by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation.
It was noticed that the woman stopped in the green corridor. He hid the gold in a suitcase among the chocolates, and the diamonds in a jacket pocket in a packet of paper napkins.
The analysis showed that the bars weighing 150 grams were made of 999 gold, and the two-carat gem was cut with diamonds and certified by the world’s largest diamond laboratory HRD Antwerp. The total cost is more than 3.5 million rubles.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of smuggling. The woman faces up to seven years in prison.
