Two explosive devices were detonated at an electrical substation in the village of Popovo-Lezhachi, Glushkovsky District, Kursk Region, on the evening of Wednesday, June 7th. This was announced by local governor Roman Starovoit on his Telegram channel.
Damage to the substation caused problems with the electricity supply in the settlements of Popovo-Lezhachi and Tetkino.
“During the restoration of the power supply, one of the workers received shrapnel wounds. He is in the central district hospital, doctors are giving him all the necessary assistance,” the Russian official wrote.
According to him, the emergency recovery work will continue after demining teams check the area again.
Starovoit said the explosives were allegedly dropped by the Ukrainian military.
