Residents of the Kaluga region said they saw something in the sky that looked like a drone headed for Moscow.

Russian Telegram channels published photos of drones that fell on the M3 “Ukraine” highway at 299 km (Zhizdra) and 283 km (Duminichi) in the Kaluga region.

Residents of Duminici reported that on Sunday night they saw something in the sky that looked like a drone heading towards Moscow.

Residents of the Zhizdrinsky district also said that the drone was flying along the highway at a speed of 140-150 km/h in a straight line towards the Russian capital.

The wingspan of the UAV is about 1.5-2 meters, it has a video camera, and no suspended ammunition.

Highway M3 “Ukraine” – better known as the Kiev highway, the road of the Russian Federation in the direction of Moscow – Kaluga – Bryansk – the state border with Ukraine (the place of customs post Troebortnoe). Part of the international route E 101. Its length is 509 km.

Recall that on May 30, Moscow and the Moscow region were attacked by drones. As a result, several buildings received minor damage, and two people received minor injuries.

Russia’s Defense Ministry counted eight drones and said all of them were shot down by air defense or intercepted by electronic warfare, lost control and deviated from their intended targets. Social media reported that there were at least 25 drones.

Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the drone attack in Moscow and threatened the Ukrainians with a “mirror response”.
