At the same time, an updated version of the video has been published, which already shows the correct map of Ukraine.
The corrected video was posted yesterday, June 3, on the Youtube channel of André Paloc, a senior analyst at the pro-government Hungarian Századvég Foundation. However, later it was removed from this page and published on the website of the Hungarian government.
There was no other reaction from the Hungarian government to this scandal.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reacted yesterday to the publication of the scandalous video. In particular, on behalf of the Foreign Ministry, the Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Hungary held an official demarche in front of the Hungarian side.
Also, the press service of the department issued a statement in which it recalled that the designation of the Crimean peninsula as a territory not part of Ukraine contradicts the repeatedly declared position of official Budapest on supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.
Playing along with Russia’s aggressive policy does not contribute to a faster restoration of peace in Europe, which the Hungarian government advocates in public, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
