Biden adviser on counteroffensive: There will be success

Asked whether the counteroffensive would speed up the peace process, Sullivan said developments on the Ukrainian battlefield would have a “huge impact” on any future talks between Ukraine and Russia.

The National Security Adviser to the President of the United States, Jake Sullivan, positively assessed the prospects for Ukraine’s upcoming counteroffensive.

According to Biden’s adviser, military actions by Ukrainian forces will lead to the return of “strategically important territory.”

“How much (territory), in what areas – it depends on the developments on the ground when the Ukrainians launch this counter-offensive. But we believe that the Ukrainians will succeed in this counter-offensive,” he told CNN.

Asked whether the counteroffensive would speed up the peace process, Sullivan said developments on the Ukrainian battlefield would have a “huge impact” on any future talks between Ukraine and Russia.

“President Zelensky himself said that this war will end on a diplomatic path,” said the adviser to the US president.

Recall that there were no announcements about the start of the offensive by the Ukrainian defenders, the Ministry of Defense reported and called on the Ukrainians for the silence of information.
