The Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine carried out an official demarche in response to the map of Ukraine without Crimea through the channel of the Hungarian government.
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Chargé d’Affaires in Hungary made an official demarche on the Hungarian side. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry on Saturday, June 3.
This is the reaction of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to a video with a wrong designation of the map of Ukraine – without Crimea, published on May 30 on the YouTube channel of the Hungarian government.
“The designation of the Crimean peninsula as a territory that is not part of Ukraine contradicts the repeatedly stated position of the official Budapest in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders,” said of the Foreign Ministry.
Ukrainian diplomats called on Budapest to stop provocations and comply with its international obligations within the framework of membership in the UN, EU and NATO.
“Playing along with Russia’s aggressive policy does not contribute to a faster restoration of peace in Europe, which the Hungarian government advocates publicly,” the department insisted.
It will be remembered that earlier the Hungarian government published a video in which the occupied Crimea is not part of Ukraine. That is, the video contains calls for an early end to the war.
