The head of state offered his Brazilian counterpart to hold a meeting in any format and repeatedly invited him to visit Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to meet Brazilian leader Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The head of state said this in a conversation with representatives of the Latin American media.
“I am interested in meeting with President Lula. I have offered in any format. I have repeatedly invited the president to visit Ukraine,” he said.
Zelensky noted that his team connected with representatives of the Brazilian leader when he held meetings in Europe with the Spanish and Portuguese. The President hopes to “take advantage of this time, because the distance is shorter.”
Commenting on the fact that the two leaders failed to meet at the G7 summit and the rumors that Ukraine is allegedly not interested in it, Zelensky said that “this is nonsense”, “non-serious and non-topical man” speaks of it. He noted that “something didn’t work on the G7, but it certainly didn’t work on our side.”
“I am interested in meeting with President Lula. I think we need to talk. I need as many countries as possible to support Ukraine or not to support Russia in this situation, if they are not ready to support Ukraine, unfortunately -palad. It is important for me that people understood all the details of what is happening,” said the Ukrainian leader.
Recall that earlier in Brazil they declared their unwillingness to be a “party to a military conflict.”
On May 28, the President of Brazil called the Russian leader and discussed with him issues related to achieving peace in Ukraine.
