The head of state promised that all those responsible for the death of three people in Kyiv during the night attack of the Russian Federation will be punished.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that specific people are responsible for the fact that a shelter was closed in Kyiv during an air raid and people died near it. He said this at a press conference on the results of the summit of the European Political Community in Chisinau on June 1.
Journalists asked how the head of state would react to what happened and if there were specific responsible people.
“Very specific people. We have to go – they will show me the details. We will find out. People will certainly be responsible for the fact that other people lost the opportunity to enter the bomb shelter and, unfortunately, died . We have Russia, these enemies are few, we have, you see, also internal. I would say, but there are many journalists here. There is a word, it is going around, but I can’t … I will say – maybe knockout,” Zelensky answered.
Recall that on the night of June 1, as a result of a Russian missile attack on Kyiv, three people were killed – a 9-year-old girl, her mother and another woman. They could not enter the closed shelter in the Desnyansky district.
Law enforcement opened criminal proceedings related to the failure to provide asylum access to a polyclinic in the Desnyansky district.
The Kyiv City State Administration said that now the shelter in Kyiv must be kept open continuously.
