The mayor arrived at the scene of the tragedy on the morning of June 1.

Klitschko added that he ordered to additionally check access to all shelters in Kyiv. He also provided an update on casualties in the city that night: three dead and 19 injured, of whom seven are now hospitalized.
The police of Kyiv, due to a closed shelter in the Desnyansky district, began criminal proceedings under the article of official negligence, which entailed grave consequences, Interior Minister Klymenko said.
The head of the Desnyanskaya district administration, Ratnikov, said that, according to the director of the polyclinic, a night shift worker opened the main entrance: some people managed to enter, some were at the shelter, where three people died.
Arriving at the scene, the director of the Kyiv security department, Tkachuk, said that the guard tried to open the shelter, but there was an explosion – he is now in the hospital. A local resident claims to have found a guard in a hideout in a drunken state after the explosion.
Tkachuk also said that the security department did not receive complaints from people about the shelter in the clinic, according to him, they check the shelters for which they receive complaints.
The polyclinic guard was taken to the examination of possible intoxication, Yefimov, the head of the Desnyansky district prosecutor’s office in Kyiv, told the Public. Earlier, one of the locals said that he woke up the guard in the shelter after the explosion was heard – according to him, he showed signs of intoxication.
