Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, has appointed Oleg Kiper, the former head of the Kyiv prosecutor’s office, as the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

The corresponding decree No. 312/2023 of May 30 was published on the President’s website.
Appoint Kiper Oleg Alexandrovich as the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, – stated in the decree.
Kiper was born in 1980 in the village of Timkovo, Kodymsky district, Odessa region. He joined the prosecutor’s office in 2001. In 2002 he graduated from the Odessa Law Academy. In 2015, as an independent candidate, he ran for the Odessa City Council, but lost the election. Since 2020, he has been the head of the Kyiv prosecutor’s office.
In 2014, he was included in the list of persons who are prohibited from holding public office, according to the law “On the cleansing of power”, but in 2019 the court found Kiper’s lustration unfounded.
