Oleg Kiper has been the head of the Kyiv prosecutor’s office since July 2020. Previously, he held various positions in the prosecutor’s offices of Odessa and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree appointing Oleg Kiper to the post of head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration. This was reported on the website of the Ukrainian head of state on Wednesday, May 31.
“To appoint Kiper Oleg Aleksandrovich as head of the Odessa Regional State Administration,” the presidential order posted on the website on Wednesday reads.
It is known that since July 2020 Oleg Kiper headed the prosecutor’s office in Kyiv. Previously, he held various positions in the prosecutor’s offices of Odessa and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
During Viktor Yanukovych’s presidency, Kiper served as deputy head of the Prosecutor General’s Office. He was appointed by the former scandalous Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka.
Recall that in March of this year, the head of Odessa OVA Maxim Marchenko was fired. He has been in charge of the Odessa region since March 1, 2022. The reasons for his resignation are unknown, but there have been several corruption scandals in the region.
