It is noted that today Russian shelling caused a fire in several places at once in a settlement located near the border in the Sumy region. Rescuers and the local fire brigade arrived to put out the fire.
Initially, firefighters extinguished the fire in a private household of civilians, where the fire engulfed the wall of an apartment building and cars parked nearby.
Having eliminated this fire, firefighters immediately set about extinguishing a blazing building on another street. While working at the scene, the employees of the State Emergency Service came under repeated enemy shelling, so they were forced to go down to the shelter, the report says.
After the threat to life passed, firefighters extinguished the fire, diverting the danger from another storage room, a truck and agricultural equipment.
According to the publication “Public”, the incident occurred in the village of Ugroidy Krasnopolsky society.
According to the head of the Krasnopolskaya community, Yuriy Yaremchuk, the first shelling began at approximately 11:40, then eight “arrivals” took place.
A multi-apartment two-story residential building, private cars, outbuildings, a cemetery and a farm building were damaged, which caught fire as a result of shelling. During the extinguishing of the fire, the rescuers of the State Emergency Service came under fire.
Fortunately, all the targets, but the water tower was damaged, – said Yaremchuk.
According to preliminary information, people did not receive bodily injuries.
