There is no indication that next year will be a year of peace, which is why we are already allocating more than ten billion Danish kroner in 2024,” Danish Prime Minister Matte Frederiksen quotes DR. dk.
The government will allocate another DKK 7.5 billion to the fund this year in 2023, for a total of DKK 14.5 billion in the fund. And next year, the government will add another 10.4 billion crowns to the fund.

Denmark is also part of the “tank coalition” – an association of countries helping to strengthen the Ukrainian army with Western tanks. Denmark, together with Germany and the Netherlands, will transfer about a hundred Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine. The project to modernize a large number of Leopard 1A5 tanks, together with the Netherlands and Germany, began in February.
Also in April, Denmark handed over to Ukraine 19 CAESAR 8×8 self-propelled artillery mounts of French production by NEXTER. The transfer of equipment was accompanied by the training of future Ukrainian crews.
Currently, Denmark, together with the Netherlands, is leading a European coalition to train Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets.
