The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine met with the commanders of units and subunits performing tasks in the hottest areas of the Liman direction.
Ukrainian troops are repelling all Russian attempts to advance in the direction of Liman and are preparing for active offensive operations. This was announced by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky in Telegram on Monday, May 29.
“The direction of Liman. Our units and subunits continue to hold their lines and positions, repel all attempts of the enemy to advance in the areas of Belogorovka, Disputed, Novoselovsky, Torsky, causing huge losses in personnel and equipment,” he wrote.
Syrsky met with the commanders of units and subunits carrying out tasks in the hottest areas of the front. They discussed the possible scenarios for the development of events in this direction and the current situation at the front.
“The time will soon come when we will resume active offensive operations, and I have identified specific tasks for preparing for them,” said the Colonel General.
Also, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked and awarded the soldiers of the 10 OGSH Brigade, 54 OMBR, 81 ODSH Brigade, 95 ODSH Brigade, 92 OMBR on the front line.
“From the officer to the soldier, everyone honorably fulfills their duty to the Ukrainian people,” he assured.
Recall that Ukraine is now preparing the ground for a counter-offensive against Russian troops and the intensity of the conflict is growing. This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Mikhail Podolyak.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny raised expectations that a major military operation could be imminent, saying on social media: “The time has come for Ukraine to start the reclaiming itself.”
