The men said they were testing drones made for the Russian military to fight in Ukraine.
Russian media and public reports that the operators of three homemade drones that monitor military equipment have been detained in the Moscow region.
It was reported that the incident happened in the city of Khimki.
“According to our information, residents of the Pyatnitskiye Luga residential complex were alarmed last night when they saw three drones in the sky at a height of about 300 meters and called the police,” the SHOT Telegram channel writes.
The report says that the police found the operators – two Muscovites aged 39 and 47. The men said they were testing drones made for the Russian military fighting in Ukraine.
“The drones were tested to check how they work and send them to the NVO zone. Why they launched them on military equipment, they cannot explain,” said the message.
Recall that earlier in Moscow they announced an alleged “attack by Ukrainian drones” on the Kremlin. The Russians considered it “a planned terrorist act and an attempt to assassinate the president on the eve of Victory Day, the May 9 parade.”
