The CEC of Turkey will publish official data somewhat later than news agencies. The head of the Turkish CEC said that Erdogan is leading the presidential race with 53.41% after counting 75.42% of the votes. In Kilicdaroglu – 46.59%.
Foreign leaders have already started congratulating Erdogan on his victory. According to Anadolu, he was greeted by the Emir of Qatar, Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani. Erdogan also received greetings from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Recall that the key issues in these elections were the rapid growth of inflation in Turkey, as well as the cost of living. In addition, the country is still struggling with the consequences of devastating earthquakes that claimed more than 50,000 lives.
