The High Council of Justice (HRP) agreed to the detention of judge Aleksey Tandyr, who was in the car, which on the night of May 26 knocked down a National Guard fighter to death in Kyiv.

The corresponding decision was made today, May 27, it was supported by all 14 members of the High Council of Justice. This is reported by the publication “Public”.
After the adoption of this decision by the VRP, the prosecutor’s office will have the right to file a petition with the court to select a measure of restraint for Tandyr.
It is noted that at the meeting, the defense side stated that Tandyr did not refuse to provide biological samples, as reported in the DBR. At the same time, the prosecutor clarified that the judge voluntarily provided only part of the tests. The results of the analysis of the samples are not yet available.
Tandyr also claims that he was not in a state of alcoholic intoxication and did not drink the day before, and he does not know for sure about the bottle found in his car:
Maybe it’s from some previous time.
At the same time, he stated that he does not deny his involvement and is ready to bear responsibility if his guilt is proven.
