Ukraine’s energy system yesterday during the night rush hours received emergency help from Romania.
The energy system of Ukraine on May 27 from 21:00 to 22:00 to cover peak consumption at night received emergency assistance from the energy system of Romania. This was reported by Ukrenergo.
The company emphasized that the emergency aid was not a commercial import. This is an ad hoc, quick response measure to balance the power grid.
The reason for the use of emergency aid is the lack of total capacity of power plants in Ukraine, Ukrenergo explained. Imports from Slovakia are made, but in the evening hours are insignificant.
“Right now, there is enough electricity to meet the needs of consumers, but during the night hours, we ask you to consume electricity carefully,” the message said.
We get generators. Ukrainians are preparing for blackouts
Recall that on the morning of May 25, the energy system of Ukraine was working properly, but due to the shelling of Russia and the deterioration of weather conditions, some consumers in 11 regions were without electricity supply.
