The results are expected soon. This was announced today, on May 27, on her Facebook page by a representative of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, Nadezhda Maksimets.
Yesterday, at the request of the prosecutor’s office, biological samples were forcibly taken from the judge. They are sent to experts for research. The results should arrive in the near future, – said Maksimets.
She also noted that today the High Council of Justice will consider the proposal of the prosecutor’s office on granting permission to keep the judge in custody.
If this body recognizes the arguments of the prosecutors as justified, the prosecution will have the right to apply to the court for the election of a suspected preventive measure, Maksimets said.
The representative of the prosecutor’s office stressed that law enforcement agencies are doing everything so that the perpetrator of this tragedy does not escape fair punishment.
For some, this sounds general, but now, more than ever, justice has a very real dimension for the relatives of the deceased serviceman. I hope we pass this exam,” she concluded.
