Sanctions in Ukraine can be synchronized or will be synchronized with the sanctions of the free world, the head of state said.
Anyone who fights the world will be marginalized. Russia will gain nothing and lose everything. Along with those who are still trying to help him in fear. This was said by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening speech on May 27.
The head of state cited the sanctions imposed on Saturday against 220 companies and 51 individuals linked to the Russian military-industrial complex.
“Not all of them operate in the territory of a terrorist state, some in other countries. But all will receive international pressure. Step by step, we are collecting complete data on all those working for the invasion – directly or indirectly. Every such person will be blocked, and our, Ukrainian, sanctions are either already synchronized or will be synchronized with the sanctions of the free world,” Zelensky said.
The President noted that when Russia launched this aggression, “they looked at the world as if they were looking at themselves in a mirror. They thought that everyone in the world, as cynical and hypocritical, despised the people like the lords of Russia.”
“But the world is different – the world helps us to defend life. And everyone who fights in the world will be marginalized. Russia will gain nothing and lose everything. With the people who are still trying to help it in fear. We will continue our sanctions measures, and there are new sanctions packages in the pipeline – even more ambitious,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Zelensky also thanked Japan, Finland, Germany, Canada and Iceland for their decision to help Ukraine this week.
“We will also make next week strong in terms of our cooperation with partners, we do not lose a week,” said the head of state.
It was previously reported that, along with Hungary, new EU sanctions against Russia are now also blocked by Greece.
