During Li Hui’s European tour, there was no talk of recognizing Russia’s seizure of Ukrainian territory by Russia.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba denied media reports that China’s Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui, as part of his tour of Europe, proposed to leave the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine under Russian control. The head of the Foreign Ministry said this in his video message on Facebook on May 27.
According to Kuleba, after this information appeared, he contacted his colleagues in Europe from the capitals where Li Hui visited, and none of them confirmed it.
“None of them confirms that there are talks or talks about the recognition for Russia of the territories where the Russian Federation is now located in Ukraine. process no one will do anything against us behind Ukraine,” insisted of the minister.
The Foreign Minister added that Ukraine will continue dialogue with China, but it will be conducted in accordance with three main principles: mutual respect for territorial integrity, Ukraine will not consider any proposals related to territorial concessions, and no frozen conflict.
Recall that The Wall Street Journal previously reported, citing sources, that China’s Special Representative Li Hui, during his tour of Europe, proposed to leave the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine under control of Russia.
The president’s office responded that any territorial concessions in the war with Russia would mean the defeat of democracy and the preservation of the Putin regime.
