Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stressed that he wants the war between Russia and Ukraine to end as soon as possible and achieve “just peace.” He said this in a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, Hurriyet reports.
At the same time, the Turkish authorities continue to support the diplomatic method of resolving the conflict.
Earlier, Turkey announced that it planned to conduct a military operation to create a 30-kilometer security zone along the country’s southern borders as part of countering terrorist threats.
