He mentioned that at 23:30 on May 25, 6 houses were flooded in the village, no flooding of critical infrastructure was found. Rescue and operational services are on the scene and the situation is fully under control.
“Let me remind you: on May 25, at about 17:20, as a result of shelling by the Russian occupation forces (preliminary – rocket fire), the dam of the Karlovsky reservoir was damaged. As a result, a non controlled discharge of the water in the Volcha River in the direction of Galitsinovka is happening. The water level has risen in the river and there is a threat of flooding of private houses in six settlements of the Pokrovsky district, where 981 people live, ” explained the officer.
According to him, a meeting of the commission for fuel and energy and emergency situations has been held and an operational headquarters has been created to eliminate the consequences of the emergency.
Work continues in place to minimize the consequences of shelling, the situation is fully under control.
As already mentioned, in the Donetsk region, the Russians broke the dam of the Karlovsky reservoir – the villages of Galitsinovka, Zhelanne-1 and Zhelanne-2 are under the threat of flooding.
