Organizers avoid the word “cancellation” and emphasize that the air show has been postponed, the Russian edition wrote.
For the first time in 30 years, Russia will not hold the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS). The event has been postponed indefinitely, Russian newspaper Kommersant wrote, citing its own sources.
For the first time in the air show’s 30-year history, organizers refused to hold MAKS. The event was reportedly postponed for security reasons.
Kommersant’s interlocutors suggested that MAKS be postponed until at least 2024 “or more.”
One of them suggests that part of the program may be presented “in a pavilion format at one of the Moscow venues” in the fall or winter of 2023.
Organizers avoided the word “cancellation” and stressed that the air show had been rescheduled.
The MAKS air show, which takes place every two years, should be the 16th in 2023.
Recall that in the winter on the ISS there was again an accident with a Russian ship.
On December 15 last year, the spacewalk of Russian cosmonauts from the ISS was canceled for technical reasons.
