The highway is no longer controlled by the Russian army, said the head of the Lugansk regional military administration Sergiy Gaidai.
The Ukrainian military destroyed the Russian checkpoint on the Lisichansk-Bakhmut highway. This was announced by the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai on Thursday, May 26, in a telethon.
“There were about 50 people, they still got a moment, they set up some kind of checkpoint, but it was a success in the situation. The DRG part stayed there forever.
The evacuation from the Luhansk region takes place along this road, it is the so -called “way of life”, but it continues to be buried.
“Driving along the highway isn’t even a 50/50 lottery, it’s 80/20 already. It’s very difficult to get from Bakhmut to Lisichansk,” Gaidai said.
Earlier, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Sergei Gaidai, denied information that the Lisichansk-Bakhmut highway was allegedly blocked by the Russian military.
