The President stressed that providing the Ukrainian defenders with modern weapons was the result of many negotiations and meetings.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about his trip to the Donetsk region in an evening video message to the people.
“Today I am in the Donetsk region, in our forward positions – in the area of Ugledar and Maryinka. I had the honor to congratulate our marines on their professional holiday – Marine Corps Day. This is on the front line that this is the right to announce the creation of the Marine Corps in Ukraine. To our existing units will also add new marine brigades – and we provide them with modern weapons and equipment. Actually, this trip to the front line has become the final part after meetings and negotiations with partners that took place these days and in recent weeks,” Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that providing the Ukrainian defenders with modern weapons was the result of many negotiations and meetings, and completed his gratitude to all those who are helping Ukraine bring victory over the enemy closer.
“Everyone should understand this: the main task of our state and the meaning of almost every one of our international communications definitely depends on strengthening Ukraine, on strengthening our defense, on increasing the capabilities of our soldiers and of our state as a whole. Every foreign visit and almost every negotiation allows Ukraine to become stronger,” added Zelensky.
